Who We Are
Ms. Sonia Gandhi

Ms. Sonia Gandhi is the Chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust. She is the President of the Indian National Congress and a Member of Parliament representing the constituency of Raebareli. Her relationship with Uttar Pradesh and Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana is deep and everlasting. The trust carries forward the undying legacy and vision of her husband and India’s former Prime Minister Mr Rajiv Gandhi.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi

Mr Rahul Gandhi is the Vice President of Indian National Congress and Member of Parliament from Amethi. He has represented this constituency thrice and holds an emotional and personal connect with the people of Amethi and of Uttar Pradesh. Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana represents his vision of women as independent and of communities as empowered.

Dr. Ashok Ganguly

Dr Ashok Ganguly is member of Rajya Sabha and associated with a number of enterprises. Namely, Director of the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India and member of Prime Minister’s Trade and Industry and the National Knowledge Commission. He is the recipient of the Padama Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award, and the Economic Times Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mr. Bansi Mehta

Mr Bansi Mehta is a Chartered Accountant and the former President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India. He is associated with a number of committees and enterprises.

Mr. Shoaib Sultan Khan

A world renowned expert in rual development and winner of Ramon Magsaysay Award. His pioneering work in India with the World Bank aided Andhra Pradesh Poverty Reduction Project inspired the setting up of India’s National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM)

Mr. T. Vijay Kumar
Special Chief Secretary (Agriculture) to Government of Andhra Pradesh. He had served as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, GOI and Head of the National Rural Livelihood Mission
Mr. P. Sampath Kumar (IAS)
With more than fifteen years of leadership experience, ten years in the IAS and over six years in the non-profit sector, Mr. Kumar has developed innovative models and lasting solutions for conflict-resolution, poverty reduction, women’s empowerment, rural development, disaster relief and governance transparency measures.
Ms. Vijaya Bharathi
Expert in community mobilisation and institution building. Consultant to the World Bank. Worked for United Nations Development Programme and Consultant to Society for Elimination of Rural Poor (SERP), Andhra Pradesh
