  • Positive change in the community’s attitudes towards education, especially girls’ education
  • Increased awareness about the importance of education among the women, leading to higher enrolments in schools
  • School-going children’s reading and writing skills enhanced
  • Increased enrolment of girls in schools
  • Increased re-enrolment of drop-outs
  • Children are taking interest in learning English as well as other subjects due to the English Relay Programme; are getting better marks in the English subject at regular school; are learning to read and write English words
  • English Relay programme is successfully running in 31 villages of Raebareli and Sultanpur districts covering 978 children, with the involvement of 201 Community Volunteers and 795 Animators.
  • 10 VOs are running tuition classes where students are being taught English, Maths and Hindi outside school hours; their reading and writing skills have improved considerably
  • 5,000 students in 60 villages are being reached through the Saath-Saath programme and are learning English, Science, Mathematics and Life Skills outside school hours
