RGMVP has developed a community-driven, inclusive and scalable model for poverty reduction and women’s empowerment, which has grown out of a strong network of Self-Help Groups and created a chain reaction across the most populous state in India.
We believe that that the creation of wellbeing alone is not sufficient, which is why we work to provide essential life skills and resources while simultaneously working to create agency among women in order to bring about a true transformation.
Self-Help Groups provide a unifying platform through which women can demonstrate strong bonds of mutual concern.
We work to strategically disrupt deep hierarchies, which we believe are the source of poverty, inequality and exclusion.
Beyond impacts on health, livelihoods and income, women experience increased levels of self-confidence and sustained agency.
